Psalm 27:4
Our mission is to provide compassionate and faith-based christian counseling and coaching to individuals and couples seeking healing. We aim to empower our clients by offering a safe space for healing, equipping them with tools for resilience, and advocating for those who cannot advocate for themselves, all through the love and guidance of Christ.
Our vision is to create a world where every individual finds hope and healing through divine love and support. We aspire to be a beacon of light for those affected by trauma and loss, fostering restored relationships, strengthened communities, and a deeper understanding of God’s grace in their lives

Reverend Dr. Marshall, affectionately known as "Dr. Mecca"
is a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Christian Counselor, Life Coach, and advocate with over 30 years of experience serving survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. With a career rooted in both ministry and mental health, she has dedicated her life to walking alongside individuals on their journey toward healing, restoration, and wholeness.
Her professional journey includes serving as a Court Appointed Advocate for abused and neglected children, as well as working in shelters supporting women escaping abuse. These experiences, combined with her own personal testimony, have shaped her compassionate, trauma-informed, and faith-centered approach to care.
Dr. Mecca currently serves as an Associate Minister at Restored Life Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Servant Jermaine Maynard, where she also co-chairs both the Women’s and Marriage Ministries. Called by Christ and committed to the Great Commission, she was licensed in ministry in 2019 under the mentorship of Bishop Rev. Dr. Olie Burton and ordained in 2021. While she is gifted in preaching and teaching, she recognizes her primary assignment is beyond the pulpit—ministering to those often overlooked, unheard, and hurting.
As the founder of Unspoken Courage LLC, a Christian Counseling and Coaching Ministry, Dr. Mecca provides a safe, faith-based space for individuals silenced by trauma to rediscover their voice. Through counseling, coaching, and advocacy, she empowers survivors to reclaim their lives while guiding them toward emotional and spiritual healing.
She is also the founder of Breaking Free to Be Inc., a nonprofit organization committed to the prevention of sexual assault and domestic violence. Through trauma-informed training and prevention education, the organization equips community partners with the tools needed to support survivors effectively and reduce retraumatization.
Dr. Mecca’s academic and professional credentials reflect her deep commitment to excellence and service. She holds a Ph.D. in Law & Public Policy, a Ph.D. in Clinical Pastoral Counseling, a Master of Science in Criminal Justice, a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling, and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. She is licensed through the National Christian Counseling Association (NCCA) and holds multiple certifications, including Certified Christian Life Coach, Certified Professional Life Coach, Certified Trauma Healing Group Facilitator, Advanced Certified Temperament Counselor, and Certified Spiritual Christian Counselor.
In addition to her clinical and ministry work, Dr. Mecca is an Amazon Best-Selling Author, public speaker, educator, and social justice advocate. She serves as a content creator for the American Institute of Health Care Professionals, where she developed Spirituality-Based Trauma-Informed Care for certification programming. She also teaches Victimology at Clark State College and Liberty University, where she instructs graduate-level public policy courses, mentors adjunct faculty, and chairs multiple dissertation committees.
Deeply committed to community impact, she is an active member of the NAACP, the National Council of Negro Women, and Deborah Women, an organization supporting women in abusive situations.
Above all, Dr. Mecca treasures her role as a devoted wife to her husband, Wayne, whom she believes was divinely ordained as her partner in life.
“Do not consider me your last hope. I am your FIRST STEP toward healing. You are no longer silenced by your past or intimidated by your future. You are a child of God—and through Him, all things are possible. It is time to reclaim your life. Be silenced no more.” Dr. Mecca

This is a client-centered relationship between you and a supportive spiritual life coach. This one-on-one collaborative, confidential relationship in which the client is guided to make better decisions, look at alternative choices, while identifying challenges and barriers. The goal is to enable the client to reach beyond their feelings or limitations, and focus better to achieve optimal goals. Spiritual Life Coaching inspires the client to seek the Lord's will in their lives and align their lives with God's plan.

Many individuals can experience trauma associated with sexual assault long after it happens. Anxiety, fear, intimacy issues, and shame are just a few emotions one may experience. One-on-one sessions will provide the emotional support client needs to systematically break down barriers, reclaim and restore theirs lives in order to break free from all that is holding them back from truly living their lives.

Relationship building can be beneficial to couples, and families who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Sessions are held in a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship with each other while strengthening your relationship with God.

Leaving an abusive relationship may be one of the bravest things you have ever done. And I thank GOD you found the courage and the strength to leave. You are no longer a victim! You are a survivor! Things may be scary, and you may not know what to do next. Know that you have your entire life in front of you. You are not alone. We can help! Through prayer and christian counseling, GOD will see you through.

Through Christian premarital counseling you will explore each others' faith, personal convictions, expectations for your future, and the responsibilities you will have as a married couple. More than anything, premarital counseling aims to produce a marriage that is biblical and God-honoring.

Through Christian marriage counseling you and your spouse will reconnect by learning new and effective behaviors to help you better communicate, based on biblical principles designed to guide you towards effective ways of responding from a place of support, comfort, and most importantly love.

When it comes to grief, there is no expiration date. Nor does it look the same for everyone. Through grief counseling, you will develop healthy ways to navigate the various steps of grief, in a safe and supportive relationship with a counselor and/or group. Grief is not about forgetting, it is about moving forward and learning to live differently.

Client will be guided toward emotional healing and spiritual growth through self-discovery. It is not what you can change about yourself but allowing GOD to change you. You will understand through christian counseling, the focus is not on what you do, but learning why you do it, and make changes based on this knowledge.

This group meets for six sessions, as we use a holistic bible-based approach to healing!
“The Lord is near to those who are discouraged; he saves those who have lost all hope.” Psalm 34:18 (GNT)
If you are interested in learning what GOD has to say about... Hopelessness, Wounds of the heart, Grieving, Healing, Forgiveness, freedom and more, this groups is for you.

Survivors of Rape and Sexual Assault can spend the rest of their lives trying to put the fragments of their lives together. Is it easy, No! Is it possible, YES!
Talking about the abuse and finding healthy ways in which to cope is an important step in the right direction. Our trauma group offers just that. It is biblically based, so you will learn how to seek GOD during this trying time in your life.

Children experience trauma too. Sadly, more often than we like to admit. We will explore ways to identify problem behaviors resulting from trauma, ways to respond to children that encourages them to express their pain, and how we can respond in accordance with the bible.
This groups is not for children. It is for adults who want to help children who experienced trauma.

All families have conflicts, but when there is a pattern of control and manipulation, it is domestic abuse. God calls us to treat family members with respect and kindness, and unfortunately, this is not always the case in our homes. Our trauma group will discuss what the bible says about domestic abuse, and how to help people trapped in abusive situations.

Together, let’s discover how to listen to GOD’s voice with greater confidence, clarity, and discernment.
